Baxy 2011 - Project 365

Oct 15 - Three Tuns

Day 287/365: The “Three Tuns” pub - another of Sheffield’s many odd and interestingly shaped buildings.

Oct 14 - Evening Shadow

Day 286/365: Walking home from work today, the autumn sun was shining strongly and low in the sky, projecting this perfect shadow onto the large plain wall of John Lewis.

Oct 13 - Pen Holder

Day 285/365: A really rather gruesome (but cool looking) pen holder on a colleagues desk at work… brutal!

Oct 12 - Lyceum Theatre

Day 284/365: The Lyceum Theatre building in the city centre of Sheffield.

Oct 11 - Fruity

Day 283/365: Today I finally caved to that cliché of photography… the fruit bowl! This is the one in our kitchen area at work, which gets refilled at the start of each week.

Oct 10 - Helghast

Day 282/365: The Helghast helmet case that my special edition copy of Killzone 3 came in earlier in the year… whenever I catch sight of it in the corner of my eye as I watch TV I sometimes half expect its eyes to start glowing!

Oct 09 - Crude Bridge

Day 281/365: A crude-looking footbridge connecting the industrial buildings which line either side of this road as it climbs one of Sheffield’s many hills.

Oct 08 - Yin Yang

Day 280/365: A “Yin Yang” tea-light candle holder. I have always loved the yin-yang, both a as a symbol and a concept… I can’t remember when or from where I got this, but I have had it for as long as I can remember - although I’ve never used it for anything other than display; those are the same candles that came with it!

Oct 07 - Meadowhall Dome

Day 279/365: One of the domes of the Meadowhall shopping centre, where I spent the afternoon with Mum, my two sisters (Sarah and Han) and Han’s friend Kelly.

Taken with my iPhone 3GS using the Hipstamatic app.

Oct 06 - RIP Steve Jobs

Day 278/365: Today we woke to the sad news that Apple co-founder Steve Jobs had lost his fight with cancer. For a long time I wasn’t a fan of Apple (I dislike Macs and their OS in general - for all its faults, I’m a Windows guy) and was initially hesitant to get an iPhone because of it, but once I did I quickly knew there would be no going back to having a normal mobile phone.

This is my current phone, the 3GS, my second iPhone and unlikely to be my last (my contract has just expired, so am now eyeing up the newly announced 4S).
